Partnership with Albstadt-Sigmaringen University

Together with Albstadt-Sigmaringen University, we are driving digital transformation forward: Students are developing an AI-powered product configurator to make our quotation processes faster and more efficient.

This year, we are once again pleased to continue our successful partnership with Albstadt-Sigmaringen University. As in previous years, a dedicated group of students will work on a practical topic as part of a project and present their findings by early July.

This year's project focuses on developing ways to implement a product configurator for more efficient order processing—using modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs).

A key objective is to incorporate production and material data early on in the quotation phase. This is intended to significantly speed up the quotation process while simultaneously improving the quality of planning.

As the project progresses, concrete, practical solutions will emerge, which we will work together to refine and implement in a structured manner. We look forward to further improving our processes in a targeted manner and incorporating new ideas.

This is another step toward advancing digitalization within the company and further securing our position as a global market leader, especially in light of future global challenges.
